Overview

The main objectives of the job are to maintain the safe and smooth running of the Further Processing area in order to achieve good labour utilisation and production yields, high quality output, and safe products and to achieve this by meeting the following detailed requirements

Detailed Responsibilities

A duty of care towards food safety culture, authenticity, quality, legality, safety and traceable requirements.

• Ensure the monitoring of staff within their dept when returning from sick leave.
• Fully aware of, and adhere to, the Company Hygiene Regulations at all
• Excluded from working with meat if they are-considered unfit.
• Provided with protective clothing and wear it correctly at all times.
• Trained in all aspects of their job function and that their training records are completed.
• Well motivated at all times.
• Disciplined as required.
• To ensure the HACCP process controls are monitored and adhered to, in-process tests are carried out and records completed correctly to a standard fit to meet the requirements of the BRC, MHS and customer audits which is set out in the HACCP Man
• To undertake documented Pre-operational Hygiene checks and to maintain excellent hygiene standards in order to achieve good Customer, FSA and accreditation audit reports.
• To supervise production so that Stock is correctly controlled, used and rotated, this to include packaging.

• Staffing levels are correct to enable further processing productivity to be maintained to meet customer order when
• All customer specifications are met.
• The correct yields are achieved and kept at the right levels for maximum profit by completing the yield
• Waste is correctly disposed
• Foreign bodies are excluded from all products, records kept of metal detector checks/incidents and glass/hard plastic incidents
• Non-conforming product is correctly labelled and quarantined
• Equipment is monitored, operational faults reported to maintenance and speedily repaired by completing a request for engineering work
• Deputy to Further Processing Manager and to cover the Managers role in their absence

To ensure that

• To check any returned goods and to ensure the paper work is kept in correct order to show up any irreglilarities and to liaise with the Sales Department.
• To make sure all Customer Computer labels are correct and to use the computer as required.
• To complete and file all records as requested.
• To ensure that key subordinates are trained to cover for the Job-Holder's
• Any other jobs that may be required to maintain the smooth running of the Further Processing
